Karn Earthshatter
In the far mountains, resides a monastery of monks
devoted to bringing balance back to the realm. And then...there is Karn. Karn
Earthbreaker comes from a family whom rejected the tribe lifestyle. As a result
of their solitude, the family was cursed, bearing the mark of surrender. A
bright white hair forever marking and shaming the bloodline. Karn grew up as a
result in a very different lifestyle than normal goliaths, and eventually it
was not enough. He would seek his own adventure, trying to find his place in
tribes despite his mark. All rejected the goliath who they viewed as soft and
an outsider bearing the mark of his family’s curse. Eventually, after a day of
heavily drinking, Karn stumbled and found himself at the monastery that would
change his life. There he eventually became a student, focused on mastering his
ki and the respect of nature. He studied the plant life of the local area and
beyond and the balance of good and evil in not only man but the world as well.
Karn showed great promise in spirit, but always lacked the discipline due to
his goliath origins. Due to an incident he rarely discusses, he found himself
excommunicated once again, another family that has rejected him. Karn once
again found himself abandoned, and his disdain for others slowly grew. Despite
no longer being recognized by his monastery, he continued to train. In addition
to his fighting skills he recieved, Karn continuously found solace in alcohol.
Along his belt are various flasks, many of which contain his favorite drinks
from his travels. Along with his trusty collection of alcohol, he carries a
tri-fold staff that allows easy concealment, inscribed with markings of the
monastery. Work is easy to come by as a near 8 foot 350 pound goliath,
protection jobs are easy to come by. Now a new job has opened that is sure to
test his resolve.

Cogar | |
“The Half-Orc Cogar is from the small town of Karse, where
in his time, he grew up under the care of his grandfather in the church of
Lathander, where he learned the ways of light and renewal. During his upbringing, giants attacked his
town Yartar, killing his father, his only parent/guardian, as he tried to
defend the city in the name of his god, Tyr, and giving him the time to retreat.” Yes, Yartar, that is what I said the first
time. “So, after losing all of his friends
and family, he went along his way to Neverwinter making trade with travelers,
spreading the teachings of Waukeen along the way.” I never said Lathander. “While in Waterdeep, Cogar healed many people
in need, as taught to him during his time in the church of Eldath, who all
kindly gave him donations to the church, and some extra money so that he can
help buy medicine for his sick mother.” My mother can’t be alive? If you’re not going to pay attention, then I’m
not going to tell you my story. “Now, heard
that there is a need for him, to help restore the magic of resurrection for the
people, and financially strengthen the church of Ilmater.”
At the very least, you know Cogar is a Half-Orc cleric dedicated
to his deity, right?
